FInal Xmen Angel Design

This is my finished redesign of Angel from the X Men for Superhero of the Month! When I think about any of the original core X-characters I go back to the beginning design wise. Their costumes should have a uniform fee to them. I could easily see this working with all the originals.

It’s also, at it’s core, a superhero suit none of that extemporaneous seams business or zippers and bells and whistles being used these days.

These are some rough concepts for the Angel redesign for Superhero of the month.
Angel's had a ton of costumes over the years so there wasn't one theme to latch onto.
Design wise the thing I wanted o do most was stick with his classic X Men blue and gold scheme. everything else was up for grabs.

Vector school kids.

These kids were done for a local day care center. They wanted kids representing school subjects. They were tons of fun to do and I picked up a few vector tricks while I worked on it.

ShaThor the Mighty!

This is my bit for the Reader art Gallery on CBR. It's a Mash up of Thor And Captain Marvel.
It's all thunder and lightning. I need to get around to doing the companion to this one...Captain Shazmerica (mixing the captain's america and Marvel).

Xmas in progress!

This is my Sci Fi take on Xmas. It's based on a card I did ages ago and gave out to select buddies.
It's a fun Kirbyish take for the "holiday". The first image is the whole composition. The second is the Santa figure.

This year it's all going to be my personal and professional card, I'm sending this out to clients on Dec. 1st as well as anyone that wants one.

I'll also have a limited amount of poster sized pints. This would look killer in comics shop window.

It might also be on display at a gallery show if it's accepted in the Christmas nostalgia show!

Earth 2 Robin Redesign

I threw my hat in the ring over at http://www.superheroofthemonth.com/.
They're having a Robin Redesign contest and as usual I had to be different. I went with a Robin that most people Barley remember. Pre-crisis Earth 2 Robin!

Instead of becoming Nightwing he becomes the "former boy wonder".
He goes from an adult version of his old duds to a Batman costume with a Robin symbol pasted over top. Did I mention the yellow Dracula cape? 

This guy (Dick Grayson) really does needed a make over.

My version streamlines the ex boy wonder's suit and transitions into his Batman honoring suit.
The idea for the symbol is that the R is cape clasp and the cape flows out like the wings of pastiche bat/robin symbol.

Zombie Smurf

This is a mix of the classic black look from the Dutch comic and the Purple from the cartoon. This is just a quicky for my PS painting practice.

Where the hell is this coming from? I had this image in my head of He-Man with a Bieber hair do for some reason. Oh well...more for you all.

Not bad for a few minutes work. I'm trying to keep them at hour. and eventually less.
It'll stop from over noodling and moving what comes out first.

Because of him I went all color theory on this. It's getting better and morning along.

Witches and Fairies

 
 My Seasonal Witches and Herb Fairy's series of prints will be on sale at some local Metaphyisical shos in my area. I'm looking forward to doing more of these. I really enjoying doing fantasy work and I'm hoping their patrons enjoy.

After a ton of prodding I'm going into my archives and polishing up my old comic Beware of Doug. I'm preping and cleaning up my old material for reprinting. I'm going to use the lead time to create a new story.
